We anticipate the 2023 Nissan Sentra will be available in three trims: S, SV, and SR. Exterior color options include Brilliant Silver Metallic, Super Black, Electric Blue Metallic, and Aspen White. You get active grille shutters, intelligent halogen headlights, dual power outside mirrors, and 16-inch steel wheels with wheel covers for the base S trim. Moving up to the SV adds heated outside mirrors to help keep your view clear, regardless of weather conditions, and 16-inch alloy wheels with rear disc brakes for better braking. An SV Premium package will offer a sunroof and 17-inch wheels.

On the SR, you’ll find LED headlights, LED fog lights, a dark chrome grille, and 18-inch wheels. The SR Premium package includes upgraded LED headlights and a sunroof for an open-air experience. The bold styling of the 2023 Sentra is guaranteed to turn a few heads as you pass by on the road.

Rumor has it that Nissan may introduce another special edition trim level for the 2023 model year, much like the SR Midnight Edition from 2022, which could also be in the 2023 lineup. It features a black V-motion grille, Midnight Edition badge, and 18-inch black aluminum alloy wheels.

Power and Performance

All trim levels of the 2023 Nissan Sentra will likely run on the same engine as last year’s model. You can expect a 2.0-liter direct injection dual overhead camshaft 16-valve four-cylinder engine matched to a continuously variable automatic transmission. This combination delivers 149 horsepower and 146 pound-feet of torque to get you where you need to go. The Sentra has a zero to 60 mph time of eight seconds, proving that this compact sedan has plenty of get-up-and-go.

Performance-enhancing features improve the overall driving experience. The 2023 Sentra has an anti-lock brake system with electronic brake-force distribution and brake assist, allowing you to stop on a dime. You also get an independent strut front and multi-link rear suspension with front and rear stabilizer bars to help you stay on your intended path. Front-wheel drive is standard across all trims, offering you a seamless driving experience every time. You can expect an EPA-estimated 39 mpg for highway driving and 29 mpg on city streets, keeping you on the road and away from the pumps longer.

Adding the All-Weather package to your 2023 Nissan Sentra gets you dual-zone automatic climate control, a remote engine start, a heated steering wheel, and heated front seats. You can add the SV Premium package for a six-way power-adjustable driver’s seat with two-way lumbar support and quilted leather seats for ultimate comfort.

Each trim of the 2023 Nissan Sentra has the Nissan Safety Shield 360 suite, including a blind-spot monitor, lane departure warning, and forward and rear collision mitigation with pedestrian detection. You also get an advanced airbag system that will deploy to protect you and your passengers should you be involved in an accident. Available features include adaptive cruise control and a surround-view parking camera system.

Expected MSRPs

Nissan has yet to provide an official release date for the 2023 Sentra, but expected MSRPs are as follows by trim level:

  • S: $20,000.
  • SV: $22,000.
